Just when you thought we were done talking about UFC 151, the event that never was, Chuck Liddell piles on. A few days before Jon Jones defends his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira at UFC 172 in Baltimore, Md., ghosts that "Bones" likely thought were just bad dreams are resurfacing again. Jones was the recipient of major backlash from fans, fighters and media alike after he refused to step up and face Chael Sonnen on a few days notice at UFC 151 back in 2012 after his original opponent, Dan Henderson, was forced to withdraw because of an…

    20 Apr 2014 | 7:14 am
Yesterday, I resurrected an old fair weather tradition. I got on the bike and headed off in a (fairly) random direction until I was a bit lost. This was a lot easier back in the days when the only guidance I had was a copy of the A-to-Z, but it can still be done. As I was following, roughly, the Irwell upstream, coming back by a different route was as simple as crossing over and finding out what was on the other bank. You can scroll through the images above to follow my journey. The Rails to Nowhere image is available on prints from Deviantart and posters and postcards from Redbubble. I…

  • Dana White: Dominick Cruz gets immediate UFC bantamweight title shot upon return from groin injury

    22 Apr 2014 | 8:00 pm
But fighting someone as "nasty" as Renan Barao in your first fight back after three years, may not be a good idea, according to White. Then again, T.J. Dillishaw may have something to say about that at UFC 173. The question as to when former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz makes his way back to the Octagon is still very much up in the air. The injury-riddled fighter hasn't stepped foot inside a mixed martial arts (MMA) cage since October of 2011, when he defeated Demetrious Johnson to secure his fourth consecutive 135-pound title defense. Ever since 1970, April 22nd has been known as Earth Day; a day which "capitalized on the emerging consciousness, channeling the energy of the anti-war protest movement and putting environmental concerns front and center."But why does this matter? Because little everyday things add up and take a toll on the earth. Just take a moment to consider that 200 billion plastic water bottles are bought every year and 80% of these 1 time use bottles end up in landfills. Talk a problem! That's why I no longer buy single use water bottles. Sure, their are plenty of contributing factors of pollution and…

Chicago’s skyline towers over any hill within a several-hour-radius- not the ideal terrain for rock climbers. Countless yoga studios, weight rooms and pools clutter the third largest city in the country, enough to satisfy any athlete, with the exception of climbers. Outside of a handful of rock walls thrown into gyms as afterthoughts, and one solid, yet tiny, bouldering room, Chicago lacks an indoor rock climbing facility. As soon as Winter 2014, this will all change when First Ascent comes to the Windy City. I had a conversation with three climbers who are spearheading the new gym’s…

The race took fifty thrill-seeking mountain bikers from the main ridge on the Remarkables range high above Lake Wakatipu, down long stretches of high alpine terrain, tussockland and singletracks to the valley floor some 1,400 metres below. Most opted for the helicopter ride up to the start, though some hardcore types made their own way by driving to the top of the ski…

Start and finish points only told half the story as the course, a closely guarded secret until the start, took in some sharp climbs and technical descents on a day of low cloud and, by the end, high spirits. The final results showed just how close and exciting enduro racing can be. Only 61 seconds separated the top…

You can check out Go Pro Hero 3+ Review and Does GoPro Take High-Quality Photos Underwater? for more information and reviews about Go Pro®. It is clear that Go Pro® is a very helpful photo and video assistant for those who like to get the snapshots of what they…
