We might have sharp scuba diving skills underwater like hovering, mask clearing and using alternate air soource. We can master these skills by practicing them enough. Our academic knowledge about underwater physics, physiology, dive desease, dive tables and etc may also be good. However, a scuba diver should always learn more to be able to be a better diver. Self improvement is the key. For this purpose, we should read some informative books and watch educational documentaries (NatGeo is my favorite). Today, I will suggest you to 5 books about scuba diving that I am sure you will improve…

Majority of student divers and unexperienced certified scuba divers find this basic skill difficult. They have the fear to perform mask removal. The reason behind this fear is that we are evolved/created (choose the one you like) to live on land, not underwater. We eat, drink, dance, walk and see on land. We do these for years and know nowhere else to do such kind of activities! However one day, a bald scuba instructor like me takes you into the ocean and wants you to breathe underwater! Isn’t this “a little bit weird already, even though it is fascinating” you are…

Onur told me that his cell phone is doing well enough for wide angle video shots.

You can take high quality photos and videos with this model of GoPro. GoPro Hero 4 Silver Edition is good for photographers/videographers (and/or who wants to be one) who likes to see what they get. As you know, none of the GoPro action cams come with an LCD screen. This means that you have to pay another $79.99 for an LCD BacPac. According to me, built-in LCD touch screen is the #1 feature of GoPro Hero 4 Silver Edition. As a GoPro fan, I was always complaining about an LCD screen that comes with our GoPro. Some others say that this is an action cam and it doesn’t have to have one.

    19 May 2015 | 12:15 pm
After you get all the clips you want and you’re ready to start the editing process, finding the right song can be a tough obstacle. You want something that fits the video and won't deter people away. This topic has people on both sides of it. Some think its ok while others think its absolutely NOT ok. Personally, I don't think you should use a song…

This is the first of a series of articles that are related with a 300 year old village, canyons and waterfalls, Knossos and different parts of Lasithi area in Crete, Greece. We traveled to Crete just for 4 days but the experiences we got were a ton. We plan to go back soon. I haven’t been there before so I was with my mouth open in many cases. Maria had been in the past and told me “you are going to love Crete”. Crete is a magnificent island. It is like a small country by itself. You can do a huge amount of activities and see hundreds of things there. Four days were not…

    6 Jul 2015 | 12:46 pm
With a blink, blink sound Facebook alerted us for a new message. It was Daphne from Sykies, near Xylokastro, owner of a family hotel named, Daphne’s Club Hotel Apartments. We have met her at the past in a wine event at Nemea and her glowing face was one of the first things we liked. “Will you attend the Canyoning excursion at Osios Loukas“, she asked? We would (more on an upcoming article), so Daphne offered to host us for the weekend as the canyoning event would occur at a mountain near her hotel. We visited her website and the place looked really nice. We were excited.

When we heard it, we thought: Okay, with so many plates of traditional Greek food we are going to die right there!  But we went anyway. And we are alive. We had a great time with friends, some great wine, excellent desserts and many laughs! What’s the occasion? As AGreekAdventure we also participate in the Travel Blogger Greece network. It has been six months since this network started and what is more appropriate to do than to celebrate this, by the Greek style? Our Chef announced that there would be 25 dishes to be served. All were in the form of “meze” (snacks) so from…

    16 Jul 2015 | 6:33 am
This is awesome. Experts from the Welsh School of Architecture (part of Cardiff University) have designed and built the UK’s first purpose-built, low-cost energy smart house, capable of exporting more energy to the national electricity grid than it uses. The house, designed by Professor Phil Jones and his team, has been built as a prototype to meet new targets for zero carbon housing set by UK Government (which have typically since been axed). Nevertheless this project shows what’s possible with fairly cheap, commercially available tech and highlights the importance that we start…
