    A welterweight bout between former champion Matt Serra (9-6 MMA, 6-6 UFC) and one-time top contender Frank Trigg (19-7 MMA, 2-4 UFC) is expected to take place in February at UFC 109. Official word of the the long-rumored contest came today from The Fight Network, and MMAjunkie.com has confirmed with sources close to the event that bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly. Although not officially announced by the organization, UFC 109 is expected to take place Feb. 6 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

    Travis recorded this and captured it for me. Thanks, it's not everyday a friend can you record live on TV! The tv crew from Al Exito! TV, KWHY Telemundo, followed the Skeleton Crew back to the Punchbowls where we showed them what Extreme Cliff Jumping was all about. The day was perfect for filming but the cold September air dissuaded most of the S.C.K. from going on this mission but they used some footage shot by the webmaster himself.

    On November 14th, 2009 the newest member of the AFMXA, Jeff “OX” Kargola was in a serious accident while pre-running for the Baja 1000 in San Felipe, Mexico. Ox crashed, smashed his belly (probably with the bars digging in) and drove his head into the ground. He says he “saw a bush shadow that may have been hiding a rock”. His front tire missed it, but his back tire hit it sending him into his crash at probably 50mph. He isn’t too sure, but he knows he was riding down the highway after the crash through military check points without stopping. OX saved himself.

  • Nuclear Expert Warns of Safety Flaws in Areva´s Reactor Design

    International - An independent expert, commissioned by Greenpeace, has concluded that two nuclear reactors, currently under construction in Finland and France, suffer from serious safety flaws. The EPR (European Pressurised Reactor) design, which is supplied by the French company AREVA, fails to adequately separate different reactor control systems. Greenpeace is calling on the Finnish and French governments to immediately halt work at the EPR construction sites in Olkiluoto and Flamanville.

In addition, it is also carrying a protest camp, complete with eight Greenpeace activists from Finland, France, Germany and Sweden. Greenpeace is calling for the plant’s construction to be halted.

  • United States pushes for strong measures to protect bluefin tuna

    Dr. Jane Lubchenco, under secretary of commerce for oceans and atmosphere and NOAA administrator issued the following statement urging the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) to heed the scientific advice and adopt measures that will end overfishing in the Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean and put bluefin tuna on the path to recovery. The ICCAT is scheduled to meet this week in Brazil.

    Sometimes I flip flop on the goals of my training. Some days I want to gain weight, other I just don't have an appetite. I want to lift heavy, and then I want to go high volume.
