You can take high quality photos and videos with this model of GoPro. GoPro Hero 4 Silver Edition is good for photographers/videographers (and/or who wants to be one) who likes to see what they get. As you know, none of the GoPro action cams come with an LCD screen. This means that you have to pay another $79.99 for an LCD BacPac. According to me, built-in LCD touch screen is the #1 feature of GoPro Hero 4 Silver Edition. As a GoPro fan, I was always complaining about an LCD screen that comes with our GoPro. Some others say that this is an action cam and it doesn’t have to have one.

For the last few years, I’d say that the majority of post on Spinneyhead have been photos. I’ve not been very talkative, and taking pictures on my phone, then sending them to Flickr to be cross-posted to the blog has been easy. However, the last three pictures I sent to Flickr (four if you count the one I sent twice as a test) didn’t make it to the blog. It looks like cross-posting is broken. Until I can find out where the process is falling down, Spinneyhead may be photoless. I might actually have to start talking to you again.

The commission has not -- and likely will not -- be testing "The Phenom" ahead of his Chris Weidman title fight, despite failing a NSAC-mandated drug test earlier this year, because Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) intends to bring Belfort and Co. to California in early 2015.

Finally, I got my cargo one week ago. I was really excited about my new “toy.” Signed the paper for the delivery man, closed the door and ran to my bedroom like a child, holding the box ready to get opened! There it was! My SeaLife Micro HD 32 GB with Wireless (simply called SeaLife Micro HD+)  was ready to get unleashed. I opened the box in a rush. What Is In the Box? SeaLife Micro HD/SeaLife Micro HD+ camera USB cable & adapter Pouch for the camera User Guide Charger and the plugs, as well as international adapters Then I started to read the user guide. Optimization… This is the word that should come to mind when talking about purchasing a scuba diving equipment. No more, no less. Scuba divers should buy the “proper” equipment for them. An experienced diver, a tecnichal diver, a scuba insructor and an Open Water Diver have different needs. Optimized Scuba Equipment Purchase for Beginners Image courtesy of Stuart Miles at FreeDigitalPhotos.net Let me give you an example. One of my friends needs a mobile phone. He says that he doesn’t need a 3G internet connection, but WiFi. He doesn’t need an 8 MP camera, because…

  • The best way to install a non integrated scooter headset

    22 Oct 2014 | 12:40 pm
Most companies have switched to fully integrated decks but there are a few out there that still make non integrated decks. One of the hardest things about non integrated decks is installing the scooter headset. It can be a real pain if the scooter headset cup goes in crooked or you hit it too hard and it bends therefore its no longer able to fit the headset bearings in it. I’m going to tell you the best way to install non integrated headsets. You are going to need a bench vice press. Theres really only one step you have too do. Insert both bearing cups into the deck (make sure the bearings…

  • What to bring to the skatepark

    15 Oct 2014 | 12:00 pm
Most kids bring a bag of some sort to the skatepark everytime they go. If you dont do this, you should. Coming from years of my mom dropping me off at the park everyday I know what I need to bring with me inside my backpack. So, I decided to do a little write up on what I think should go in your backpack when you get dropped of at the skatepark. 1 - A backpack -First you got to have a backpack to put your necessities in. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. It could be a two string backpack or a nice heavy duty backpack. You just need something that will hold your things so you dont lose or…

  • Knowing the right bar size to ride

    10 Oct 2014 | 12:00 pm
One of the biggest debates I hear in the scooter industry is about bar size. Whether it be “your bars are too small” or “your bars are too wide” it seems like someone is always complaining. Some kids don't even know what they're bar height & width should be. Here’s the answer: its up to you. Ok, but I have a little bit of a better answer if you read below.   In all honesty it is up to you; however there is a general rule. The rule is that bars should go up to about your waist or a little below and they should be about your shoulder length wide. What do I…

  • Discover One of Greece’s Oldest Cities, Nafpaktos

    chris
    23 Oct 2014 | 2:16 am
Beaches, nature, architecture and history all come together in one of Greece’s oldest cities. Nafpaktos is the second largest town of Aetolia-Acarnania, and is situated on a bay on the north coast of the Gulf of Corinth. The city is picturesque, and it has kept its style, beauty and feel for centuries. The name Nafpaktos roughly translates to ‘boat yard’. Historically the name goes as far back as the Doric period, as the Dorian first used the island to build rafts. Legend has it that Heraclidea built a fleet of ships in the harbor which were then used to invade the Peloponnese.

    Ben
    23 Oct 2014 | 5:45 am
The world’s first longboard park opened last weekend. The park is located in Kamloops, Canada at the top of Pacific Way and looks really fun. Two downhill stretches of super smooth asphalt/pavement make up the park. The intermediate/blue course features a longer stretch with more twists and turns, for buttery pre-drifts and slides. While the Black Diamond run is setup with a steeper more direct slope, down the hill, for hill riding and stand-up slides. CFJC News had the story below (shout out to Landyachtz Longboards, who were also at the park opening – their team van makes a special…

    21 Oct 2014 | 7:35 am
Yeah! Finally our dream of riding Marty Mcfly’s hoverboard from Back to The Future II may be closer than we think. Remember back to that hover board stunt earlier in the year with Tony Hawk and Doc (Christopher Lloyd) himself? Well that involved wires and CGI, but this hoverboard actually works…kind of! A little hover technology company called Hendo have created a real, working hoverboard. The founders of Hendo, Jill and Greg Henderson have poured their life savings into hover technology and are hoping to create new industries based on the science. The magic behind the…
  • Biggest Walrus Gathering ever Recorded

    Ben
    21 Oct 2014 | 5:52 am
Screen grab from USGS video. Biologists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have photographed the largest gathering of Pacific walruses ever recorded, on a beach in northern Alaska. The gathering, known as a haul-out, consisted of an estimated 35,000 females and calves and happened north of the village of Point Lay, on the Chukchi Sea coast, Alaska at the end of September 2014. The main cause for the huge Walrus haul-out is likely climate change. Big walrus gatherings have been documented before and while climate change skeptics note this point, scientists say…

A friendly sea turtle caught on the ‘reef-view’ camera. Screen grab from video. A while back Google made the leap, with it’s street view technology, from urban areas into the wild, when it captured the Colorado River into it’s Google Maps database so that people could explore some of the landscape from the other side of the globe. That was pretty cool, but this is even cooler. By teaming up with the Catlin Seaview Survey, a number of incredibly beautiful underwater worlds, including the Great Barrier Reef (Australia), Hanuma Bay in Hawaii and the Galapagos Islands,…
